This song is about a gesture that took place many years ago when a girl was given sand. In her shoe. Rather than this be a cheeky gesture, it was offered as a memento, something this songwriter has never forgotten.

Fast forward to today and the song tells the story not of a girl with a shoe full of sand but of a man with a pocketful of sand.

The music video comprises a series of time-lapse sketches to reflect a storyboard I provided to South Korean artist Jun ("Sean"), Sung Hyun. I spent months trawling the internet to find a 'visual language' with which to speak to Sean so that images in my mind's eye when writing the song could come to life...
