about

This song was inspired by black and white photographs I saw after @art_is_homeless followed me on Twitter (artishomeless.com).

What makes this project compelling is not only the creative collaboration of photography and music, but the synthesis of these two mediums combined with a third: film. Thanks to artishomeless, their images have been used to create the music video for Keep On Walking now available on You Tube youtu.be/XgrnNEcMVZE.

50% of the song's proceeds will go to Miami's Camillus House which offers a 'continuum of care for persons who are poor and homeless'. If you can’t afford to buy the song, please share the Bandcamp link or share the music video; tell your friends; share it on Facebook, Twitter or organzations you think will listen!

You can read more about the song at kathymuir.com, about the Kiener brothers' amazing artistry and how we joined forces in the hope of making a difference.

A special thanks to Bandcamp who normally only allow PDF Digital Booklets for album releases but are making an exception to show their support.

Track Name: Keep on Walking
I saw a picture speak a thousand words
Without even breathing it was revealing
A mirror that was shaped with endless curves
In a silhouetted frame that bore my name

Hear me calling, don’t you dare look away

I’m trying hard to find a way to get myself out of this place
That’s kept me down so long
At times I feel like giving up but then I see a glimmer
And I know it can’t be wrong

To keep on walking, if I don’t and stop
The ground below me will try to swallow me right up
Just keep on walking, till I reach the higher ground
And maybe then I will find that I can be someplace that finally feels home

A vacant look reflected in her eyes
This could have been me, and this could have been you
A young girl that will age before her time
Oh brother, we need to spare more than a dime

Keep on walking, if I don’t and stop
The ground below me will try to swallow me right up
Just keep on walking, till I reach the higher ground
And maybe then I will find that I can be someplace that finally feels home

Know that you will find I'm not the kind to walk away
If you take my hand then know that I am here to stay

Keep on walking, just keep on walking, we’ll find a better way
